       Prophetic Teachings

       The  Pre - Tribulation "Rapture":
                   Fact or Fallacy?

          John 17:14-15 :

"I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them
because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one."

Would the above facts signify many Christians are experiencing great tribulation today? If not, what would you call it?

Before you start this study: Check this out:

"And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image,  neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years."

  Nothing new under the sun:

  Christians Slaughtered Throughout History

Hebrews 11:36-40 :

" Others experienced mockings and scourgings, yes, also chains and imprisonment.    They were stoned, they were sawn  in two, they were tempted, they were put to death with the sword; they went  about in sheepskins, in goatskins, being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated   (men of whom the world was  not worthy), wandering in deserts and mountains and caves and holes in the  ground.   And all  these, having gained approval through their faith, did not receive what was  promised,   because God had provided something better for us, so that apart from us they would not be made perfect."

Paul was beheaded, Peter was crucified upside down, James thrown off of the pinnacle of the temple, millions tortured, crucified, murdered, thrown to Lions. Now what greater tribulation can one experience than to be thrown to a hungry Lion? How about being burned at the stake? Are American Christians the only ones better than the ones who have been martyred before us? Daniel was not saved from the Lion's Den, he was saved in it. Shadrack and his friends were saved in the fire  - not from it.

What did Jesus mean when He said:

"Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it." (Luke 17:31-33)

I could go on for hours about the genocide of many believers all over the world. I would venture to say, they gave up their lives because they viewed faith in Christ as the ultimate sacrifice. They get up prepared to die for the cause. Tell the 200,00 Coptic Christians in Egypt who have fled recently from massive tribulation - women raped and murdered, mutilation, killings of every kind - some ran over by tanks, and now without their homes - refugees. Tell them about deliverance from the great tribulation. We must be prepared to do the same. The "secret rapture" is setting up multitudes for the "great falling away" which will happen before Christ' Return.

How dare we think of ourselves as those who will escape the privilege of giving up our lives to bring many to the cross of sacrifice for the common good of all people. Are we any better than the millions that have lost their lives for Jesus' Sake? I'm sorry, name it what it is: this doctrine is an insult to the  millions who have died and shed their blood for Jesus in the past, and millions who are dying around the world for Jesus now. How are they being delivered from tribulation?

I am convinced that this study will clearly articulate what believers should expect here in our future. If you have ears to hear it will come across loud and clear concerning this coming battle between Yahweh's Servants and the hateful world.

Many expositors and theologians propagate that the believers in Yeshua (Jesus) will be taken off of the earth before the great tribulation comes on the world scene. Some say seven years before - some say three and a half years. In addition, the Holy Spirit is removed from the earth as the wicked are left  after Jesus comes and takes His Saints away.

What does the Bible have to say about this? Will the believers be taken from the Earth to escape tribulation? This set of Scriptures along with very little commentary, should be studied with diligence. We must see the truth here. It will be “he that endures until the end- the same shall be saved”.
If you think that Yeshua will come and take you away before the tribulation hits, you will be like one of the foolish virgins who did not have enough oil in their lamps to make it through this time (Matthew 25:1-10). It is imperative that we prepare to stand in the evil day, having done all to stand". (Ephesians 6:13)
May this study stir you up to make a preparation for this time to come. If you do not believe you will be here, you will not have the endurance to make it through and stand before the Son of Man. You will be part of that mass exodus from Christianity that’s coming when the fire comes to purify His people who have faith in Him!
The "Rapture" is connected to the Resurrection :
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
When does the resurrection of the believer happen? This will tell us when the "rapture" will occur. Lets examine the facts around this Earth shaking event!

"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout,, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

#1. When Jesus raises up His believers, it will be a very audible event:

A Shout from the Lord, Michael's Voice of Proclamation, and THE TRUMPET OF GOD.

This does not sound like it will be a secret when it happens.

#2 The ones alive on the earth when Jesus comes will not go up before the ones sleeping:

" For this we say to you by the word of the Lord that we who are alive, and remain until the coming of the Lord, shall not precede (go before) those who have fallen asleep."(4:15)

#3 Once the Lord raises the dead, then we meet them in the air:

"Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord"(v 17)

The "Rapture" Happens At The Resurrection: When?

"In Christ all shall be made alive. But each one in his own order: Christ the first fruits, afterward those who are Christ's AT HIS COMING. Then comes the END, (1 Corinthians 15:22-24)

Fact : Those who are raised from the dead at Christ' Coming is at the END.

When? "Then comes the end, WHEN He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power."(1Corinthians 15:24)

At the END- not seven years before the end...will the dead be raised up.

It is a common misconception that the believers leave the earth 7 years before the end.. however, the dead are raise at the end...at the same time the ones who are alive and remain will be "caught up" with the dead (same timing).
When Does Jesus Say The Resurrection Will Occur?

"This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the LAST DAY. "And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.'' (John 6:39-40)

"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY. "Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the LAST DAY.(John 6:44; 54)

The believers will get their resurrection on the LAST DAY. At that time the ones who are alive who believe in Jesus will be "raptured" with the dead who come alive. This doesn't happen 7 years before the end.
The dead in Christ are raised at the LAST TRUMPET:

"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the LAST trumpet. For the TRUMPET will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."  (1 Corinthians 15: 51-54)

Fact: The apostle Paul proclaims that those who are not sleeping at the time of Christ return will hear the LAST trumpet and be changed with the raised dead when all will be changed. This is collaborated in the passage to Paul's writing to the Thessalonica church.

Here is that SAME TRUMPET blast in Matthew's Testimony:

Matthew 24:29-31

"But immediately after the  tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE  DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT  GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and  the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
"And then the  sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the  earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.
"And He will  send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER  TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other."

What is the LAST TRUMPET? When does it blow?

"but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be FINISHED, as He declared to His servants the prophets. (Rev 10:7)
We clearly see that when the seventh Trumpet blows:

"Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!'' (Revelation 11:15)

"The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, and those who fear Your name, small and great, and should destroy those who destroy the earth.'' (Rev 11:18)

Fact: The blowing of the Seventh Trumpet brings reward to the dead, at the same time God's WRATH comes. The WRATH OF GOD happens at the time of the blowing of the Seventh Trumpet. While the dead are rewarded, those who wait and are alive at Jesus' Coming receive their reward also.

FACT:  The Dead Are Not Raised Up Until Yahweh's Wrath Passes Over

Job had a revelation of when the Resurrection would come:

So man lies down, and rises not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.  O that thou would hide me in the grave, that thou would keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, that thou would appoint me a set time, and remember me!  If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come."
(Job 14:12-14)

Our Conclusions So Far:

1)  The believers in Yeshua will be "raptured" up with the resurrected dead (right afterwards)

2)  The Resurrection Comes at the End When Jesus Comes

3) Yeshua Comes back after the Tribulation to gather believers

4) The believers who are sleeping, will wake up at the Last Trumpet

5) The "Caught Up" believers will meet the resurrected in the air

6)  The Last Trumpet (7th) will blow and reward the dead at that time. This trumpet blows before the dead are raised.

7) The Dead will Come out of their graves after the Wrath is passed over:

Isaiah 26:19-21 :

"Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be over past.  For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain."

Fact:   The Dead will stay in their graves until the wrath passes over. THEN they come out of their graves and "we which are alive and remain" will be "raptured up with them( after the wrath passes over).

PLEASE NOTE :  There is not even a hint that the raptured will go before "the dead in Yeshua"... quite the contrary - they go up after the dead are raised at the end. The dead are NOT raised up 3 1/2 years before the tribulation, but at the end...after the Wrath has passed over.

Are the Righteous "Taken" and the Wicked "LEFT"?

It is obvious that Jesus very clearly stated the the wheat (God's Children) and the Tares (Satan's Children) would grow together until the Harvest. There is no hint of believers leaving in either 3 1/2 years or 7 yearsbefore the wicked. Not once. In  fact, at the end, the gathering first will be of the wicked:

"The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness,"

"Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, "First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn''(Mat 13:30,40-41)

"So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just", (Mat 13:49)

Many believers have it backwards. The focus of the gathering first is on the wicked.

QUESTION: Who was taken at the flood, and who was left behind?

Jesus drove home this point very clearly when he proclaimed in that Day

"I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. "Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. "Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left.'' (Luke 7:34-36)

Now, if you were asking "where" in response to the above statement, would you ask "where is the one taken" ? Or would you ask, "Where is the one that is "left"?

Of course, you would want to know where is the one went who was taken! The one "left" is still in the same place.

Now examine what Jesus says about the one who is "taken":

"Where, Lord?'' So He said to them, "Wherever the body is, there the eagles(vultures) will be gathered together.'' (Luke 17:37)

Jesus was speaking of this event which is clearly found in Revelation:

"Then I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather together for the supper of the great God",

By the way, in this context it is important to note another profound statement Jesus made during this time:

"Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it." (Luke 17: 33)

Let's move on to the next clear cut passage as to when "the Day of Christ" comes

Paul says  His coming(Jesus')  will be AFTER the man of sin is REVEALED: not before:

(2 Thessalonians 2:3) Lets take a look at it:

""Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God."

Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way."

Fact: The Day of Christ' Return will not come until: the Man of Sin is REVEALED.

Keep in mind: The Day of Christ will come as a thief - not Jesus:

"But the DAY OF THE LORD will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.  Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the DAY OF GOD, because of which the heavens will be dissolved being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat? (2Peter 3:10-12)

"Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which THE LORD, the righteous Judge, will give to me on THAT DAY, and not to me only but also to all who have loved HIS APPEARING. (2 Timothy 4:8)

"For you yourselves know perfectly that the DAY OF THE LORD so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety!'' then sudden destruction comes upon them,(1 Thessalonians 5:2-3)

" When the LORD JESUS IS REVEALED from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the
Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes IN THAT DAY, to be
glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe,"(2
Thessalonians 1:7-10)

"For the DAY OF THE LORD is coming, for it is at hand: A fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns; The earth quakes before them, the heavens tremble; the sun and moon grow dark, and the stars diminish their brightness. The Lord gives voice before His army, for His camp is very great; for strong is the One who executes His word. For the DAY OF THE LORD is great and very terrible; who can endure it?"(Joel 2:1,3,10-11)

Obviously, that day will not come UNTIL the man of sin is revealed:

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 :
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that  day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of  sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or  that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing  himself that he is God."

The Prophet Daniel Collaborates This Event::

Daniel 11:33-36 :

"And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall  by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days.   Now when they shall fall, they shall be helped with a little help: but many shall cleave to them with flatteries.  And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try them, and to purge, and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.   And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods."
shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined
shall be done.

Note: The saints of Yahweh are going through a fire as the man of sin is exalting himself as the apostle Paul prophesies.

Note: There is the call to endure during a specific time frame:

"All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved."

(Matthew 24:8-13)

This will be the time of testing. Jesus calls for the believer to endure until the end. It does not appear like the believer will be removed from this, but that he will be called to endure. And even more than this, Jesus proclaims:

"Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it."  (Luke 17:33)

Jesus made it clear as to the intention of preservation concerning His Followers:

Does this statement state that the believers will be "raptured" before the Great Tribulation:"?

""Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth."   (Rev 3:10)

Please note the context: Who is this message given to?
Note: This message was given to the church in Philadelphia

Revelation 2:10 :

"Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the  devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye  shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give  thee a crown of life."

 To The Church of Smyrna

Would this same message apply at the tribulation period in Smyrna as it was in Philadelphia?

It is not specified in Scripture as to the exact time when this comes upon all the world. In my estimation, it will happen in the near future. I personally do not see a "rapture" in this verse. I see God's Hand covering the believer. The ones that He covers have already passed the test. Because of an inner tenacity of strong faith in the heart, the believers endure.

The same deliverance that happened to Israel out of Egypt, will happen to the saints during the final bowls of wrath (Rev 16:1-2). Israel had the plagues fall all around them, but it never came in their dwellings. With the blood over the doorpost, they were safe from the Strong Hand of Yahweh against the unbelievers. This will happen again. The Psalmist  prophecies:

Psalm 91:1-8 :

"He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
nor for the arrow that flies by day;   Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; nor for the destruction that waste at noonday.

A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with your eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. "

Will Be Back To Finish This : More To Come

The Testimony of the Prophets

  (Wicked’s End)

‘‘Silver and gold will be of no use to you on the day of the Lord’s anger. For the whole land will be devoured by the fire of His jealousy. He will make a terrifying end of all the people of the earth”. (Zephaniah 1: 18). The word ‘‘devoured’’ is defined as: consumed, eaten up, to destroy or waste. W hen the Day of God’s Anger arrives; the fire will conclude the lives of everyone on the Earth. The whole land will be left in desolation. No hint of a fiery, screaming underworld in this proclamation, just a ‘‘terrifying end’’.

‘‘My determination is to gather the nations, to My assembly of kingdoms, to pour on them My fierce anger, all the Earth shall be devoured with the fire of My Jealousy’’. (Zep 3: 8) This Prophet declared that the fire will take place on the Earth, in which everything is devoured. There is no intimation of a pit, in the center of the Earth, where souls are being tortured.

  e Prophet Zephaniah

‘‘For the wicked will be destroyed...in a little while, the wicked will disappear, though you look for them, they will be gone... But the wicked shall perish... into smoke they will vanish away”. (Psalm 37: 10, 20). Israel’s King received some insight from God, concerning the finish of wicked people. Again, the vocabulary connected to evildoers found in these passages, are indicative that the wicked will be no more- destroyed, perished, vanished away. Evil will experience its end.

‘‘I have seen the wicked in great power... yet he passed away and behold- he is no more. Indeed, I sought him, but he could not be found’’. ‘‘The transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked cut off.” (Psalm 37: 36, 38) If there is no future for evil to stay, then surely evil will not squirm throughout eternity. According to the prophet, ‘‘When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it’’ (Psalm 37:34). We are told that in that Day, God will utter His Voice and the earth will melt. (Psalm 46:6)

‘‘Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because He was Wroth. There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of His Mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it. He bowed the heavens also, and came down; and thick darkness was under his feet” (Psalm 18:7-8) How can anyone imagine living through the devouring fire of God’s Mouth?

‘‘Thy hand will find out all thine enemies; Thy right hand will find out those that hate thee. Thou wilt make them as a fiery furnace in the time of thine anger: Jehovah will swallow them up in His Wrath, and the fire shall devour them”.(Psalm 21:8-9) This is a vivid picture of God’s Anger swallowing up and devouring those that hate Him. There’s not much left when a person swallows up and devours a good T-bone steak! Nothing left of the wicked after God ingests them either.

‘‘For the transgressors shall be destroyed together, the future of the wicked will be cut off’’. (Psalm 37:28) According to this verse, the wicked will not live eternally; there future will come to a final closure. When a head is “cut off” from a body, there is no more life, no more future for it. There is no future in eternity for anything that is “cut off” from its life source. For the cut-off, there will be no future-period.

Our God comes, and will not keep silence: A fire devoured before him, and it is very tempestuous round about him. He called to the heavens above, And to the earth, that He may judge His people: Gather My saints together unto Me, Those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare His Righteousness; for God is Judge Himself” (Psalms 50:3-6) When God comes to gather His People, a very wrath filled fire will devour anything else that stands before Him. For the great day of His wrath is coming; “who shall be able to stand” (Revelation 6:17)?

‘‘You cast them down to destruction, Oh, how they are brought to desolation as in a moment’’ (Psalm 73: 17). A careful examination of this passage will help us to understand that it doesn’t take an eternity to bring the wicked to desolation. In fact, desolation will take place in just ‘‘a moment’’. Destruction and desolation will be the lot of those cast down. The word ‘‘desolate’’ is defined as: vacant, uninhabited, and unoccupied. Is “hell” really as full as some say it is?

The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God”. “Upon the wicked He will rain coals; Fire and brimstone, and a burning wind shall be the portion of their cup.”(Psalm 9:17; 11:6) What a picture of horror! Fire and brimstone will be coming out of the sky, falling down on down on top of the heads of evil’s creations. Rain comes from above, not from beneath. When Judgment comes, no umbrella will be able to hold under the Fire Rain of God. At that time, the wicked will wish that they were underground!

‘‘God shall likewise destroy you forever. He Shall Take you away, and Pluck you up out of your dwelling place, and uproot you from the land of the living.’’(Psalm 52:5) Have you ever seen anything that was ‘‘plucked up’’ from the ground live very long? Most gardeners would agree that life ends when something is uprooted. How can anyone ignore the sentencing of the bad plants: destroyed forever?

David-Prophet & King

As one searches through the Word of God, it becomes apparent that wickedness does have a final answer. Read this passage from yet another Bible Prophet:

‘‘The destruction of transgressors and sinners shall be together, and those who forsake the Lord will be consumed’’... So the Light of Israel will be for a fire.. It will burn and devour... both body and soul.’’(Isaiah 1: 28; 10:17,18). This prophet very clearly articulated that ‘‘both body and soul” together will be burned and devoured. There is no hint whatsoever of an eternal hell where the wicked can fornicate forever.

Consider the end of the wicked in this light: ‘‘Behold, the Day of The Lord comes cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate; and He will destroy its sinners from it’’.( Isaiah 13: 9) Again, there is no evidence that the wicked will live on forever. Death, destruction, and desolation will be the results of rebellion against the Creator. The Fire will burn everything into absolute ashes and desolation.

‘‘Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? Who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?’’(Isaiah 33:14) “For it is the Day of The Lord’s Vengeance.. its streams shall be turned into pitch, and its dust into brimstone, its land shall become burning pitch, it shall not be put out night or day, its smoke shall ascend foThe world’s greatest Fire Department will not be able to quench this fire sent from God. The only remaining evidence of the destruction is that smoke will be flying up in the atmosphere continually, as a reminder that evil has its consequences.

It is worthy to note that, in speaking of this same passage, Jonathon Edwards in his sermon ‘‘Sinners in the Hand of An Angry God”, recognized that according to Isaiah 33:12-14:

"The people will be burned up completely, like thorns cut down and tossed in a fire. Listen to what I have done, you nations far away! And you that are near acknowledge my might! The sinners in Jerusalem shake with fear. "Which one of us," they cry, "can live here in the presence of this all-consuming fire?" Isaiah 33:12-14. Even this famous “hell fire and brimstone preacher admits that the wicked will be “burned up”! He’s right, how can anyone live through fire that consumes?

This same Prophet foretold of a time when even the coals of fire will turn cold! He declares, ‘‘let now the astrologers, the stargazers, and monthly prognosticators stand up and save you. Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them. They shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame. There shall not be a coal to be warmed by, or a fire to sit before.” (Isaiah. 47: 13-14) Evidently, after the hot fire burns the wicked to stubble, the fire goes out – and there will not be one warm coal left to sit in front of!

Another prophecy uses a stark metaphor concerning the end of a wicked man. It is written, And they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against me, for their worm does not die, and their fire is not put out”(Isaiah 66:24). Imagine a worm feeding on a dead body, kept alive by a never-ending feast, and an unlimited supply of dead corpses. Annihilating fire burning up the mountains of dead bodies while worms do the clean up!

Consider this word that describes the end of a wicked man: “For by fire and by His Sword, the Lord will judge all flesh, and the slain of the Lord will be many” (Isaiah 66:15). As far as history has been recorded, a person who is slain by definition is someone basically lifeless. God’s execution is likened to a killing many times in Scripture. What would be the sense in killing something over and over?

The prophet Isaiah concludes his prophecy that the bad men shall be consumed together” (Isaiah 66:23-24). Where can someone read about a ‘‘never-ending hell” into any of these passages? How obnoxious would it be to hear dead corpses screaming “I’m being tortured, I’m being tortured” throughout the endless ages? No tormented souls here. Where is the sense in this? Obviously - Eisigesis, not exegesis!

How about this revealing prophecy? “Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath. For the heavens will vanish away like smoke, the earth will grow old like a garment, and those who dwell in it will die in like manner”(Isaiah 51:6) Underneath the heavens, is the earth dwellers who will die and disappear in the same way as the heavens vanished. No roasting and toasting going on forever here.

The Prophet Isaiah

The list of prophetic witnesses to the final eradication of sinners continues:

I beheld the earth, and lo, it was without form and void; and the heavens, they had no light. I beheld the mountains, and lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. I beheld and there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. I beheld, and lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the Presence of the Lord by His Fierce Anger. The whole land will be desolate, for this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black” (Jeremiah 4:23-28). This is a vivid description of an outer darkness and total desolation that awaits the earth, where no man lives. It can be noted that this place is on the earth, not in the center of it.

In the valley of Hinnom (Gehenna), this will be called the valley of slaughter”, to burn their sons and daughters in the fire... and the carcasses of this people shall be meat for the fouls of heaven, and for the beast of the earth.’’(Jeremiah 8: 32) Time after time, there can be found metaphors of death -no indicators of endless torture in any of these verses of doom. “Hell” will be a valley of massacre where the wicked are killed and eaten up.

They shall fall among those who fall; in the time of their punishment, they shall be cast down, I will surely consume them” (Jeremiah 8:12-13). God’s Punishment will be so severe the fallen that are cast down will be consumed. The very nature of the word “consume” is defined as: “to bring to an end by, or as if by the action of a destroying force”... devour, use up, destroy, ruin, annihilate.” (Mirriam Webster Thesaurus) Again, this imagery symbolizes how final and complete will be the destruction of the wicked will be.

This same major prophet foresaw the Almighty’s Wrath and predicted, “At His Wrath the earth will tremble, and the nations will not be able to endure His Indignation, Thus you shall say to them, “The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth shall perish from the earth and from under the heavens.”(Jeremiah 10: 10) Apparently, “the god of this world”(2 Corinthians 4:4) shall disappear from the earth and from under the heavens. All that are in allegiance with him will, “In the time of their punishment, they shall perish”. (Jeremiah 10:15)

Behold, the whirlwind of the Lord goes forth with fury, a continual whirlwind; it will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The fierce anger of the Lord will not return until He has done it, and until He has performed the intents of His Heart. In the latter days you will consider it”. (Jeremiah 30:23-24) Consider how the wicked receives God’s Anger, and how He will continue in His Fury until His Mission is accomplished. There are no signs to assume that His Wrath goes on without end in “hell”.

Here’s that whirlwind again in another prophecy: “The Lord will roar from on high, and utter His Voice from on high.. He will give a shout, as those who tread the grapes against all the inhabitants of the earth. A noise will come to the ends of the earth, for the Lord has a controversy with the nations. He will plead His case with all flesh, and give those who are wicked to the sword”. At that day “a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the farthest parts of earth. And at that day, the slain of the Lord will be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried, they shall be refuse on the ground” (Jeremiah 25: 30-33).

According to the prophet, the slain of the Lord will be from one end of earth to the other. When someone is slain, they are lifeless. It is clear by this prophetic picture that, the many that are slain will be just lying around on top of the earth. They do not seem to be hollering and yelling, no pitchforks, any two horned red tailed devil taunting or tormenting anyone in this photograph of the end. When the Lord uses His Sword to kill evil, it will bring a finished work on those cut by it.

Jeremiah the Prophet

Another witness of the Old Testament used vivid imagery likening the evildoer’s fate to, ‘‘ a morning mist, early dew that passes away, chaff, and like smoke from a chimney’’. (Hosea 13:3) There doesn’t seem to be a hint of fire engulfing the “living dead” unbeliever. On the contrary, all of the metaphors: mists, dew, chaff, are elements that eventually vanish into smoke. Again and again, the Scriptures are in complete harmony concerning evil’s end.
The Prophet Hosea

         Babylon: That Great City

Satan will disguise himself as a false messiah and his ministers will be fanatically loyal to their master deceiver. He will sit in the “great city” dictating his evil intent towards those holding the testimony of Jesus. The true messengers from Yahweh will be targets of murderous aim. The Lord’s Word foretold of a day that believers would be looked upon as troublemakers. Jesus foretold, “the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God’s Service” (John 16:2). With every ounce of sadistic energy, Satan incites an all-out war on God’s Kids. As God pours out His Spirit on His Children, the world is being warned of the spiritual deceptions.

The prophetic spotlight will be shining brightly from the great city. This will be the center where the majority of earth’s inhabitants will identify it as the spiritual capital of the world. In this place, will be “the coming of the lawless one, according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who received not the love of the truth that they may be saved”( 2 Thessalonians 2:9). Unrighteous slander will spew out of the great city.

The amalgamation of the world’s religions will not only pray for world unity, but will endorse a powerful, spiritual leader to lead over them. The Anti Christ spirit will be solidified out of the pronounced “spiritual capital of the world”. The Pope, the Dalai Lama, and other recognized religious leaders will clasp hands, praying together that God will show mercy on the earth. Spiritual whoredom and the mixing of all belief systems into one common cause will bring a strong unity among nations.

The message goes to the ends of the earth:

“Babylon is fallen-that great city is fallen! She has become the habitation of demons and evil spirits, a nest for filthy buzzards, and a den for dreadful beast; for all nations have drunk the wine of her immorality. The rulers of this world have committed adultery with her” (Revelation 18: 1-3).

“How the faithful city has become a harlot! She that was full of justice! Righteousness lodged in her, but now murderers. Thy silver is become dross, thy wine mixed with water. Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; everyone loves bribes, and follows after rewards: they judge not the fatherless; neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them” (Isa 1:23-24)

Everything that God has put His Name on, the dragon has made a mad pursuit to make it his own. In history, there was a very special place that God Pronounced as His Own. This location was so important to Him, that He Placed His Name there. The Lord Said, “In Jerusalem will I put My Name” (2 Kings 21:4). “ Since I brought forth my people out of the land of Egypt, I chose no city among all the tribes of Israel to build a house in, that My Name might be there.; neither did I chose any man to be ruler over my people Israel; but I have chosen Jerusalem that My Name might be there, and have chosen David to be over my people Israel”( 2 Chronicles 6:5-6). Jerusalem was chosen over all places as God’s Own City.

All throughout the Scriptures, the prophets elevated the city of Jerusalem as a very special place in God’s Heart. David the Chosen King declared, “Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the City Of Our God, in the Mountain of His Holiness, beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the City of The Great King.”(Psalm 48:1-2) The Almighty Yahweh has a Great City very dear to His Heart. Speaking of Jerusalem, the prophets foretold, “You shall be called, “The City Of Righteousness, the Faithful City,” (Isaiah 1:26) “Jerusalem, Your Holy City”, (Isaiah 52:1)“This Great City” (Jeremiah 22:8).

“Come hither, I will show thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God” (Revelation 21:10)

It would only stand to reason that God’s City would be a prime target of Satan to one day rule from. Lucifer had in his heart to exalt his “throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north” (Isaiah 14:13). The Imposter’s ultimate goal is to sit up his capital in God’s City-Jerusalem. The crowning act of the rabid dragon will be to, “plant his tabernacle of his palace between the seas in the glorious Holy Mountain, yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him” (Daniel 11:45). Daniel the prophet prayed, “Let Your Anger and Your Fury be turned away from Your City Jerusalem, Your Holy Mountain” (Daniel 9:16). One day, Lucifer will place a church there in his honor, substituting God’s Name for his.

The Temple Mount is still in place for all to see. Once, God’s House sat on that mount. It has been the center of seizure and conquest throughout the history of the world. Even though the Jews have sovereignty over the heritage of this great historical site, Islam has dedicated and built their places of worship on top of the mount where God still has His Name. Satan put his house on the mount where the Creator had His.

Many times it was declared of Jerusalem, “How the faithful City has become a harlot! (Isaiah 1:21). Israel had become so corrupt; the prophet likened them to Sodom and Gomorrah. Those who once lived in faithfulness, “played the harlot because of their fame and poured out their fornications on everyone that passed by” (Ezekiel 16:15). Jerusalem had set up false Gods in its midst. History will repeat itself as spiritual whoredom flows from the great city. “And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified”(Revelation 11:8)

“For Zion's sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not rest, until her righteousness go forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns. And the nations shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory, and thou shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of Jehovah shall name. Thou shall also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. Thou shall no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more is termed Desolate: but thou shall be called Hephzibah and thy land Beulah; for Jehovah delights in thee, and thy land shall be married."

"For as a young man marries a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee; and as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee. I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah's remembrances take you no rest, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” (Isa 62:1-7) The great city becomes a harlot when the false messiah sits in Jerusalem claiming authority over it. This religious God fraud will be spewing out gobs of great words spoken by the great imitator.

Jerusalem is not only considered a spiritual location, but it is rooted in the birth of three major religions: Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. This is where the two witnesses are, ‘‘and their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city…where also our Lord was crucified” (Revelation 11:8). Jesus was crucified in Jerusalem. “The great city” (Babylon) is first mentioned in the above text. According to the context, the great city is where the Lord was crucified. It is symbolized as a spiritual whore giving the world seemingly right instruction, as it spirals out of control in devilish whoredom.

Think about it, the Jews are looking for the Messiah to appear in Jerusalem. The scriptures declare it, so it is. Islam is looking for their last day prophet to make pronouncement from the Dome of the Rock. Christians believe that Jesus will put His feet down on the Mount of Olives. Guess what? The False Messiah will show up to rule in Jerusalem, not Mecca, not Rome. The abomination of desolation is in the heart of Jerusalem. This place is where God put His Name.

The history of this great city will be duplicated. The Babylonian King Nebuchadnezzar was brought against the land of Jerusalem and captured the city because of the rebellion of God’s people. The inhabitants of the holy city were taken into custody, and led away from their homeland. In like manner, this city will be surrounded and besieged again.

The Almighty declared at that time, “I will take from them the voice of mirth, and the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the candle”. (Jeremiah 25: 10)Jerusalem was to be a light to all of the nations. In her was found the voice of the bridegroom. No other place on earth had the significance and majesty that God had placed on it.

The great city which once a light to the nations, now has become the major hang out for “devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird” (Revelation 18:2)

In like manner, under the guise of a harlot, Jerusalem will be brought into judgment. “Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city, for in one hour has your judgment come… and the light of a candle shall not shine no more in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more in you”.(Revelation 18:23).

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth” (Revelation 18:24). “True and righteous are His Judgments; for He has Judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His Servants at her hand”(Revelation 19:2).

Jesus told the religious leaders residing in Jerusalem, “ I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute, that the blood of the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation.”(Luke 11:50) In Jerusalem, “the blood of righteous Abel, unto the blood of Zachariah, which perished in between the altar and the temple” was found there. “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone them that are sent to you” (Matthew 23:37).

Even though the writer of Revelation did not clearly state that Jerusalem is Mother of harlots-the great city, all of the Bible writers give identifying characteristics of who it is. All of those who studied the scriptures were aware that Jerusalem was God’s City. Many parallels can be made with the Kingdom of Babylon’s wrath on Jerusalem, with the coming wrath on this great city. Satan is going there to set up house and make God’s City his own. Because time is short, the Devil will set up Jerusalem as a place to be destroyed.

“And when you see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know that the desolation is near”.” And there shall be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations and Jerusalem will be trodden down by the Gentiles” (Luke 21:20, 23, 24). “Babylon is fallen, fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication” (Revelation 14:8). This shocking current event will be the sign that the believers will see to warn them of impending worldwide doom.

“Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and save every man his life; be not cut off in her iniquity: for it is the time of Jehovah's vengeance; he will render unto her recompense. Babylon hath been a golden cup in Jehovah's hand that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunk of her wine; therefore the nations are mad. Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: wail for her; take balm for her pain, if so is she may be healed.

We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country; for her judgment reaches unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.”(Jere 51:6-9)

“And he shall plant the tents of his palace between the seas and the glorious holy mountain, yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. At that time, Michael the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation”( Daniel 11:45;12:1).

Now the crowning act of Satan’s domain is to sit in Jerusalem as his capital. The prophet Isaiah told of Lucifer’s goal, ‘‘I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north” (Isaiah 14:13). It would only stand to reason, that the Devil would want to claim God’s special place as his own. Everything dear and special to God’s Heart will be attacked and held in contempt. The place where the Omnipotent set His Name will be the location of the final battle between good and evil.

As Satan sets up his stronghold in the world’s renowned spiritual capital, God will initiate the final battle to rid the Devil of his supposed position as Supreme over the earth. The day of Christ is approaching, but will not come until, ‘‘the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God”(2 Thessalonians 2:3). Talk about the ultimate insult against our loving Creator. This is the final straw that breaks the Devil’s back.

On that day, there will be no more restraint from the Omnipotent Yahweh. Up until then, God “is restraining until he (the man of sin), is taken out of the way..that he may be revealed in his time(2 Thessalonians 2:6-7). “And then that wicked will be revealed, ‘‘whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power, signs, and lying wonders” (2 Thessalonians 2:8-9). God’s forbearance has reached its limit. Now, the whole world witnesses the unmasking of evil by the events that follow.

In the message of this sinister imposter there will be “unrighteous deception”. Apparently, a huge spiritual sham deceives the masses to do wrong against God’s Will. However, there will be a group of God followers that will understand the fake procession. Most others will “believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness” (2 Thessalonians 2: 11-12).

The wise will understand this day very clearly by the detailed events outlined in the prophecies. The prophet Zechariah saw this frightful time, many centuries before it would come to pass. He prophesied, ‘‘thus says the Lord, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding people, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day, that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples, all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations are gathered against it”(Zechariah 12:2-3).

Never will there be a time in earth’s history where the focus on Jerusalem will be greater. History has never recorded a time when all nations have come against the holy city. In 70 A.D. the Romans came against Jerusalem and destroyed the Temple, slaughtering over a million in that besiegement. However, a greater gathering of all nations will be the sign to the wise that time is short.

Jesus clearly explained the details concerning the events leading up to His Second Coming. He warns, ‘‘when you shall see Jerusalem surrounded with armies, then know the desolation is near. For these are the days of vengeance:

“For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled” (Luke 21:23-24).

In the book of Revelation, a prophecy connects judgment in Jerusalem, with a time allotted for the Gentiles to put the great city underfoot. Judgment will begin in the temple and extend into the holy city. ‘‘Rise and measure the temple of God, and the alter, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not, for it is given to the Gentiles; and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty two months”(Revelation 11: 1-2).

Whatever activity the devil is initiating in this special place he has designed, will be under the Judgment of God. During this time, the Gentiles will be given a certain amount of time to stomp on Jerusalem. This time will be 3 ½ years. “ It shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished”( Daniel 12:7)

At the same time that the everlasting gospel is traveling to the ends of the earth, something is developing in the holy place. Jesus detailed the exact event this way, ‘‘when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, stand in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand)” (Matthew 24:14-15). Lucifer imitating God will stand in this holy place, ushering in the time of trouble such as never was-tribulation never greater in the history of the world. There is a tribulation coming larger than the destruction of the temple in A.D. 70, more intense than the Holocaust, or two world wars that killed millions of people. One is coming that will surpass any calamity or war ever recorded in the annals of history.

“For then will be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor ever shall be. And except those days shall be shortened, there should be no flesh saved” (Matthew 24:21-22). Spiritual whoredom will be deceiving the whole world. Satan will have his day of glory with the deceived on earth. He has taken Jerusalem, set up his holy place, and commanded his orders to go out to the ends of the earth. “And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme His Name, and His Tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them; and power was given him over all kindred, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world” (Revelation 13:6-8).
